has been the decline of media and journalism. Oh there have been numerous exceptions to the rule - Reporter of the Year last year, the Mail's David Rose, is one. But generally the decline of newsprint sales is reflected in the rise of superficial headline thinking in social media. Trump has a point about Fake News (whilst, naturally, doing it himself). The decline in our species and the rise of superficiality has not only meant much has declined in quality as only extremes and simplicity mean anything these days but also it has nurtured a lack of depth in thinking, in art and culture, in the law and in morality.
