JK2006 Several E Mails and messages about this thread.
JK2006 Police and CPS (and media) would, of course, hate this. Thousands of "great stories" killed.
JK2006 Fascinating tale of the murder that Conan Doyle decided (rightly it seems) was a miscarriage of justice (in those days the victim was hanged; thank God we’ve progressed slightly). In 1901 the creator of Sherlock Holmes said the British judicial system had become “the giant murderer of England. If the Scottish verdict of Not Proven which neither condemns nor acquits had been permissible in England, it would certainly have been the outcome”. 116 years ago. Have we really progressed?
