JK2006 I love Surrey - just wish they had a better Police Force.
Spee Interesting.

This lovely area is only 20 miles from central London, and 30 from the coast at Worthing.

Via Stane Street - the old Roman road (now A29) or a London/Brighton coaching route (A23/24).

So many wealthy people lived in the area because of these transport links - and nowadays due to nearby Gatwick and Heathrow.

A high percentage of properties are pre-Doomsday - and the green belt seems to survive well, as a result.

Many opt for a house in the Mole Valley/Surrey Hills (both AONB areas) - and a bolthole in London...

JK2006 My Mum went to Bill's funeral where Ginny howled in misery - Mumbly found it very upsetting. A lovely couple - he was the brother of my Mum's brother's wife Linden! See her in The Lady Vanishes.
Spee V McKenna still lives up Coldharbour way, looking well - I often see (and nod to) her in Waitrose, Dorking.

Judi Dench is also around the area - and very friendly and chatty to everyone.

Both have been honoured by the Queen - and have an 8 in their age...

JK2006 And of course J King, Spee. I believe V McKenna (and Bill Travers) moved there because of the (related) King family occupation of nearby Ewhurst.
