JK2006 And in the news this morning? A teenage boy stabbed to death in Canning Town.
JK2006 Simm was brilliant in this - both as a loony and as an attractive, decent man, which he displayed perfectly. An amazingly deep piece for ITV who deserve to be congratulated. Covered a lot of complex ground. Lester also excellent in an even more complicated role. He is starting to act with his eyes (spot them during the operation scene). Like the mighty Rylance. Trauma deserves to win awards.
JK2006 Well a terrific ending; both Simm and Lester excellent; I wish Lester had pointed out to loony Simm that his father role was just as responsible for Alex's death.
JK2006 Oh dear; still gripping but I do hope there's a clever twist; it is shaping up to be just a one dimensional thriller.
JK2006 The only two things that bother me is 1) Surely Simm's character should be blaming and searching for his son't killers, not the poor surgeon and 2) I hate ITV with adverts killing the mood every ten minutes. Yes I did do work for them but Record of the Year (10 million viewers) didn't need to build atmosphere and neither did the Ultraquiz.
