md I heard a story about a group of Gypsies often in trouble with local authorities due to piles of rubbish constantly building up outside their abodes. What the police and council failed to detect or acknowledge was that the Gypsies were responsible only for a small amount of this rubbish. Most of it belonged to neighbours quietly and secretly dumping their surplus rubbish during the night. The dynamics of projection works in a similiar fashion. Whenever so-called negative, destructive emotions arise that threaten a sense of self as being "good", ways and means need to be found to "get rid" of them. Our society hasn't paid as much attention to dealing with emotions at all. The emphasis in education has been on nuturing the intellect and keeping the body fit and healthy. If emotions are not owned, managed or processed in constructive ways, some person or minority group has to be found to carry the load of the unwanted ones for the larger group. This may reduce the pressure of being found out but shifting the spotlight will not change a thing because the original source in the unconscious mind remains the same.
md Everyone is only one step away from a false allegation. Many are strongly attached to the view however that "it could never happen to me".

many of us have contemplated where the "false allegations industry" might wander next..the Prime Minister, a Royal Prince? but I don't think we anticipated how the ghastly @MeTooCompo "movement" which may be snaring some abusers is also completely destroying people on claims alone.

This has been a major ramping up of the false assault claims into a vast new stratosphere.

I think we must have thought the historic Salem episodes happened because people were uneducated, ignorant, fearful of the Church etc but human nature does not change.

While innocent people were killed in the Salem trials..they actually got a trial (OK a Catch 22 trial) but today no trial is needed and people are certainly dying..several have now committed suicide (a form of murder when innocents are driven to it)

Pulitzer Prize winning writer Junot Diaz has withdrew the Sydney Writers' Festival after accusations.

Now book shops are removing his books. This is pre-judicial punishment and all I hear is some women saying they "don't mind if a few innocents are destroyed as long as it brings change" (very magnanimous of them) yet few comment comment on how a person -say Kevin Spacey - can have their career killed overnight (mutual friends tell me that Geoffrey Rush has been devastated..you cannot find a nicer, friendlier or more gentle person).

How many innocent people are still in jail around the world?

people accused must have anonymity..this has given the green light to the deranged, the jealous, the malicious, those intent on revenge, to destroy at will.

Two Men Accused Of Rape Exonerated 26 Years Later After The Victim Recanted

They are still calling her the "victim".
I would call her something else!
Jo "mutual friends tell me that Geoffrey Rush has been devastated..you cannot find a nicer, friendlier or more gentle person"

It's strange that it's people with good reputations and/or wholesome images that have been targeted (even including Jimmy Savile, Rolf Harris, etc.) more than people known to have led raucous lives. Maybe it's because they're a blank canvas?

"Pulitzer Prize winning writer Junot Diaz has withdrew the Sydney Writers' Festival after accusations."

Ronan Farrow was interviewed on Newsnight recently. He apparently has a Pulitzer prize too ... for his Harvey Weinstein coverage and has now done an expose on the New York attorney general, who has resigned following allegations of abuse that he's denying.

A clip of Meghan Markle interviewed alongside Prince Harry appeared on TV the other day and she was also making positive noises about "me too" and "time's up".

It's surprising there isn't more scepticism about adults popping up late in the day with difficult to disprove claims they can make money from. Maybe there are sceptics around but they feel that they can't speak up in case they're criticised, or worse. It seems only sensible that accusees be given anonymity, but where would the fun be in that?
JK2006 Consolation is - Karma always kicks in. I didn't believe this until the man who started all this, Max Clifford, found Karma. Since then I have become a convert. It may take various forms (sometimes near terminal strokes are more of a punishment than death) but it arrives. Do watch Vile Pervert; The Musical. www.VilePervert.com
