Green Man Never got the point of homework, it's not because it was stressful it was rarely marked by my tutors.
wjlmarsh Article content seemed to be promoting homework but from an angle of practices and learning methods that work rather than just handing out homework per se. Also, this is at primary school level.

There is much schools could do especially with websites and email. For example each school year a provisional learning timetable with available materials and complete layout of obictives step by step set out for each subject thus students can catch up with parental/guardian help and/or special available teachers or move ahead of basic timetable and levels. Solves the problems of out of school re holiday, sickness or the lesson went over the kid's head.

So I commend the school for trying to find successful methods and setting objectives. Any project becomes successful with well thought out objectives, step by step, assessments openness to improvements and clear testing with no excuses and I must add a strong belief that all pupils any who can be won over to believe in oneself that they can achieve much more with belief, determination and excellent assistance and an acceptance that with this positive attitude it is natural that each individual varying from time to time will learn some tings better that others so things just take longer and more work and others come easily. Then next level the learning pattern may change. Not UK government targets that encourage manipulation to achieve rather than an objective and assistance to help all achieve. Not penalize.
honey!oh sugar sugar. A school has decided to ditch homework because it is stressful and pointless.
I am very pleased and hope more schools follow.
Why cant we just let them be little?
