Anon Why aren't Saville and Janner mentioned in the media, didn't he accuse them too?

Yes I'm with JK on this.

Everything Mick said was so fantastical it cannot be stupidity with police rather something much more nefarious and malicious.

I'm reminded of my own false accuser from nearly 40 years ago and the way then in which West End detectives handled the matter professionally with a competently open mind.
It got me thinking afterwards that coppers probably have had to deal with false complaints about all sorts of matters over the years.

The result was within 3 hours they had the complainant confessing it was a lie and it was crude blackmail attempt. The police were rather disappointed I didn't want him charged with blackmail but fully understood the drama was just all too much.

How could an intelligent man like Keir Starmer QC and a trained professional lawyer like Alison Saunders tip on it's head one of the most precious protections in law when they proclaimed "believe the victim"?

I find it depressing that over the years the legal establishment remained silent on this.

I often think we are living in episodes of Judge John Deed.
holocaust21 Do you really think much will come out in May, JK? It feels like Carl Beech is just low hanging fruit. The police just arrested him to save face and give some pretense that justice has been done and the 0.000000000001% of false accusers have been locked up. And so they'll probably ensure that in his trial the real corrupt cops don't get punished.

It'd be great if Alison Saunders, Lynne Owens or Jim Gamble got locked up. But how is it possible to make this happen?
Pru Oh my God, 'Nick' was Peter Griffin all the time!
