Except that she wasn't a troll, remember?
It was found that she had not said anything illegal and had not even communicated with the McCanns.
Her mistake was to trust Martin Brunt (who publicly shared her wish for a full investigation into the case) with her address.
But why let facts get in the way of a good story?

hedda there may be anti-vigilante comments but the daughter ?

what a horrible way to react and treat her father no matter what the claims were...what did she expect by abandoning him at this point?

Still she her entire life to regret it now.

But it's typical of the utter nastiness that has been unleashed and how so many are unthinkingly caught up in it.
holocaust21 Grr... That Daily Mail article makes me so angry as the whole tone is "oh meeting an imaginary 15 year old girl on the internet is a heinous crime" err no it's NOT! The only crime committed is the police & vigilantes working together to take a man's life. It's perfectly normal for men to meet up with 15 year old girls.

Why is society so polluted with such politically correct crap? The worst thing about it is even the so-called "politically incorrect" people are also politically correct on this issue.
'M' As I have mentioned and others here I'm pretty sure if you look into these people's backgrounds there hides a sinister answer to why the do it.
Occasionally you see a mother go online after some older person has been chatting to her child in a way that they should not and most of those mothers find out what they can and pas on tour the police, nothing wrong with that but the vigilante never does the job under a controlled environment all you see isomething what they want you to see.
My opinion is that honey traps should be outlaweded
