Misa It's a fine close to a cracking article, JK. Yes. And I'm something of a broken record...but wouldn't it be so much easier to defend Heath, Bramall, Richard, and co (never mind the countless ordinary folk who've been accused in the process) if one of these journalists could remember that they'd known all along that there never were any monsters hiding in plain sight...If they could just point out that anyone who believes one man's sexual appetite could stretch from young boys and girls, to teenage boys and girls, to adult men and women, to geriatrics and, of course, to the dead...anyone who believes that is just not compos mentis.

Perhaps the time will soon come when a fearless, straight-talking commentator (R. Littlejohn, Esq.?) could point out some home truths, focus minds, and begin a national conversation that might just bring an end to this madness.

It might be humbling for some of the present establishment, but it would also pull the rug from under the feet of some of the right-wing nutters, the left-wing nutters, the religious fanatics, the anti-religion fanatics, and the rest of the conspiracy loons.

It might even take a bit of pressure off our struggling legal system, and free up police to keep the streets safe.

Oh hell.
JK2006 Actually Richard's been very much On Side in the false allegations issue - which is why he uses this as a tongue-in-cheek closer.
Misa Meanwhile, Jimmy Savile remains dead. Well, yes. Just as dead as he was when everyone suddenly decided that they'd remembered that they'd known all along that he was an omnivorous predator.

Come on, Richard. You're nearly there!
Jo "smearmonger" is a great word, along with "Mother Theresa" and "Hyphen-Howe"!
