I'm with you Barney but fear CD is also showing signs of "Protect their own" - why would she employ ex Surrey CC Nick Ephgrave albeit it in a fairly unimportant position? |

Interesting.
However - I have some confidence in Cressida Dick, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Service.
Joining as a constable, CD has become an experienced, well educated and courageous officer - holding a variety of diverse positions.
Whilst not getting everything right.
Perhaps - more, like her, would help...

could well be but the problem is corrupt police tend to be pro-active and honest coppers tend to often look the other way, are frightened of upsetting the apple cart and are scared to be a "whistle-blower" in real fear of recriminations.
And rightly so as the sheer corruption of those who fostered the Carl Beech disaster upon the public are a great example as they were actually rewarded not just with pensions but with even more power. Who in the police will go up against such enablers?.
The system is rotten from the top down and as the little old gentleman who gave me my first job explained- corruption from the top will always succeed as it seeps down into every pore of an organisation.
There needs to be a powerful Royal Commission into policing but how will that ever happen when you have a Bozo PM who has got the country consumed with driving itself off the cliff face and an Opposition that will never ever tackle the false allegations industry for some reason. |

Fully agree - however.
When playing amateur football in a different league to the Metropolitan Police, around the London area - my team would often draw them to play in Cup competitions.
These were knock-out, and played home and away; their facilities were excellent - as an attraction to entrants, I think.
But when the draw was made - and we heard that the MP was our opposition - the silence was deafening.
Far too many (but not all) had chips on their shoulders, felt that games were battles, were hung up - and had a consequencial desire to inflict injury and pain.
Winning was so important for them; to us, it was a bit of fun on a Saturday afternoon.

How can they achieve any level of decency when MWT is dragging their ass across the nation with his Mystic Met act?
I'm surprised they haven't shredded his employment details and tax records.
