Bookworm It's bloody awful watching this go on.

It makes me wonder wtf they are playing at!

These fires (as you say) will have an affect elsewhere.
hedda Just after my scientist pal was commenting that this fairly new phenomena of "fire twisters".. comes an example near Adelaide.

He reckons they have the capacity, with the right circumstances to become full on tornadoes of fire which would be unstoppable and could destroy a big city..a city with 1000s of tons of fuel in the form of houses filled with flammable furniture, petrol stations and so on.

Of course it's worse in Oz because of all those Eucalyptus trees full of oil.
UK would be drowning in floods while we are burnt alive!!!
