JK2006 Loved the TV series so went to the stage show today; great fun, packed out, more of the same. The problem I had was that even with my hearing aid up to max, I find women very hard to hear (especially if they speak Brummie). Since several characters are female (the plot reflects King Lear) this meant 50% of the dialogue was lost for me. A shame; much was very funny indeed - Ben Elton is a favourite and his description of the Reformation was genius. David Mitchell excellent and very clear. I wonder why more theatres and cinemas don't have the Hearing Aid link (yesterday in Kingston Town Hall I heard every word of the Police and Crime Panel meeting thanks to their loop).
