robbiex Key workers are going to need to get to work in order to look after and cure people.
They could make it compulsory for people to wear face masks on public transport, although I'm not sure how effective they are. Arrangements could be made for hospital staff to stay in hotels near to their hospital.

Modelling estimates that there could be 400,000 deaths, if we just carried on as usual.
I think more businesses could remain open. For example there is no more risk of infection in a garden centre than a supermarket, and social distancing could be adhered to.

There are reports from China that they soldered people's doors closed, and they seemed to have quashed it to a large degree and started to loosen some of their rules. I think that this sort of thing would cause more damage to people's mental health than do good.

Apparently 40% of TFL workers are off sick, self-isolating, so they have had no choice but to reduce services.

But a choice to let people on them or not.

It is the inconsistencies that bother me. Maybe it is better to have no lockdown at all? Or maybe it should be far more strict? I don't know, But a halfway thing makes no sense at all and I wont join in with any further restrictions that might come, until the planes and trains stop.
They can jolly well shoot me.

Honey I don't know why they don't TELL people to keep the distance from others, instead of this "advice" and "try to" nonsense.

Lots of people are ignoring it, some are most definitely doing it on purpose, and it makes it impossible for those who attempt it.
Still, at least nobody dares to buy a cushion from B&Q now, so clap clap for the police!

In a two mile walk to the shops I was "spatially raped" (as we call it in our house) 47 times today. Mostly by shop staff who ignore the rule completely, and idiots on bikes.

Then I was sneezed on by the self-serve monitor in Sainsburys.
Sheba Planeloads of infected sardines, people packed cheek by jowl on infrequent tube trains and mini-riots over toilet rolls aren't spreading the virus.

The virus is being spread by people walking their dog miles from anywhere (especially in the Peak District hotspot), people going for a run in isolated areas, and by the cardboard packaging on Easter eggs. It's also being spread by car-to-car transmission.

I think I've got that right.
