Little Sausage Then there’s the Green Movement... we’ve all been sold a whole pack of lies if you believe what’s in the
Michael Moore movie “Planet of the Humans”.

I recommend everyone watch it.

You still don't offer any solutions or suggest alternatives or actively support any campaigns that might change a situation that you obviously don't like.

Dr Strangelove Social media is a democratised form of media; that's an entirely different animal from the one we used to call the print media - newspapers, tabloids, magazines etc. If my friend - who happens to be on Facebook - does something I like, then I and only I make the decision whether to share it. The same goes for all of my FB friends. What that has got to do with the kind of media hype you loathe is a complete mystery. The social media ball on clapping the NHS heroes was mostly created by approving individuals long before we started seeing it on the T.V., and it certainly wasn't started by some oily hack working in a dark corner of a tabloid newspaper, trying to whip up an audience.

I really can't understand why you're so against people clapping the NHS staff to show their gratitude, respect and thanks in these unprecedented times. It's politeness writ large.

Holland has media. Social media is media. Doh. I resent people falling for media hype. I know about it; I've used it myself to promote projects. But that was harmless; when the results are increased deaths or miscarriages in justice, we are in deep shit.

You fed the beast so why be surprised when it turns round and bites you. I read all your wailing and complaining about "the media" but can't see the rules or regulations that you'd like in place to control them. The media is based on self balancing and freedom of expression, what would you do to change that? When you give the answer then maybe you should keep plugging the solution. Your rants about the media are pointing out a problem you believe exists but you don't make any suggestion on how it can be solved. "Hacked Off" for example is an attempt to do something but you never mention them or an other campaign that might be trying to do something.
