I know the sports bar you're talking about it's great banter there also. If people insulted each others sports team it's resolved by response, handshake and a pint.
It's funny seeing people doing dodgy betting as well. |

The American sports bar is an amazing experience, I agree - and I often frequent a few in Manhattan, and one near Leicester Square.
Dozens of screens on several walls showing (simultaneously/live) - ice hockey, baseball, soccer, basketball, football etc.
From different timezones, countries and leagues - including those from Canada, Europe and collegiate games. A truly unique atmosphere.

If you ever go to USA hopefully you do, try go to a sporting event or a sports bar 
If NFL goes to Wembley you will love it just the atmosphere and train journey. I can't stand American football but I sometimes get invited to Wembley games. Just take plenty of beer money 😉.
MLB at Wembley could of been good but the stadium was badly laid out, sun was in the every ones eyes and some fans spent a fortune to see glare.
If Harlem Globetrotters come to your area it's well worth it. Despite the games being 'rigged'  |

GM - yes, I'm an avid sports fan. Though mainly for those popular in the UK.
To me - a day out at Wembley, Epsom, Murrayfield, Wimbledon, Edgbaston, Troon etc. - is a highlight.
Followed by a pint (or seven) in the local boozer, with my mates.
And loads of advice for Kane, Root, McIlroy, Murray, Sexton and Dettori.
In our great country, there's so much to see without any great difficulty.
But, for me at least, top quality sport is high on the list - live when possible.

I know you a huge fan of football. I don't know what team or teams you follow. However I want to know what other sports you're in to ?
NASCAR was really dull in the last ten years with rule changes and there was no excitement. It was just a waste of my time watching it.
It's bounced around UK TV channels like a beach ball. Normally with terrible broadcast quality, zero advertising in TV guides.
However - This season has been fantastic so far.
I wouldn't of bothered with NASCAR again either this year, until a friend told me about the changes they made and how exciting it is to watch again.
I sort of shrugged and said I give it ago. Which I did and I'm glad I did.
Since Freesports and Premier Sports show it, it's been quite successful with UK fans. If NASCAR is Freesports then do watch it.
My partner, who never saw a race of NASCAR or even heard of it is now hooked. She now sets up the iPad and iPhone to watch it and listen to the live radio commentary.
Her only regret she said "I wish known about it decade's earlier". She knows reads it about it daily is learning whose who and teams, has I'm now doing all over again.
There's a lot of changes to roster with 'new' drivers I never heard of or about. |
