JK I like you little note towards the end about insisting on a key change..
interestedly nowadays key changes are rarely used.
When SAW/PWL were top of their game, so many of their songs had key changes (Modulations)
but rather than a half step up in the final chorus's they would split the verse and chorus up into different keys
and usually by 4 half steps, i.e. verse could be in A Flat and the Chorus could be in C often with a cleaver pivot chord or two to transition into the new key.
GM Talking of Little River Band, my favourite song of theirs was "Reminiscing"
and my top version is by Aussie duo Madison Avenue
and now after gallivanting around the Internet I found this humorous one with JK and a cranky Noddy

Bit like Covid, we lead the world in hard rock/metal bands. Apart from AC/DC who are Australian and play very catchy pop tunes fast and loud!
It is a shame I agree that the greatest hard rock band (who I assume you are referring to) Spinal Tap are American; but you can't have it all...
