Much more so than in other western democracies - and with a great deal of power and authority. This week, a lot of presidential power will utilised.

Trump is also expected to visit the Alamo - down Mexico way - and to provide a large amount of pardons. To himself, staff members and his family - and anyone else in danger of reprocussions later.

Pardons - which are wide ranging, perpetual and indisputable - are most helpful to any President, who may have some skeletons in his golf buggies.
