They come to work in our thriving black economy. It is much easier to do so here than in mainland Europe because the black economy is largely unregulated and we don't have id cards.
Much easier, of course, to talk of scroungers and 5 star hotels; or for the Gov to blame the French and not regulate the black economy.
They are the same as you or I; making logical choices about survival for themselves and the people they love.
All that link is showing more finger pointing. France never take reasonability and surrender very quickly. |

I have no idea why people want to come to the UK apart from the benefits 5 star hotels, weekly allowance and free dental care without waiting ages.
I have paid in the system like millions of other people but don't get anything in return. I didn't get a single penny during lockdowns despite filling in the forms numerous times. |
