It is not quite as simple. I agree, my instincts are to get out quick, so at the first sign of any alarm I am out and I don't wait to to told what to do.
But when the World trading centre buildings were hit, people were told to stay put so that they didn't disrupt the emergency services. You can understand why this made sense, and why people stayed put and died. |

In this stupid Century the appalling Grenfell tragedy has shown that, if there is a fire in a tower block, do NOT stay put! But unfortunately it is not true. For 99% of fires, DO stay put. It was only the awful but rare situation of the outside cladding catching fire that made "Get Out" the sensible thing to do. Yet humanity, unable to think even one step towards depth, cannot see the middle way - even when it would apply to most cases. And media cannot or will not clarify (they know readers and viewers are too stupid to grasp the incredible complexity of this). Just as "Prince Andrew Is Innocent" is a headline we'll never read and the stupids cannot grasp the reality. Lemmings. Gullibles. STUPIDS! |
