JK2006 Can anybody explain to me why Taiwan produces so many chips? Surely other countries could and should set up equally vital factories? Like Ukraine and grain - why don't other countries increase grain production? It reminds me of decades ago when I used to nag my friends in Morocco to start growing and exporting avocados. Perfect climate (like Mexico). Now they do (and make billions). If I was in Tunisia I'd rapidly get a chip factory up and exporting. Let's face it - South Korea did it intelligently with pop music, grabbing a huge chunk of the market from stupid UK.
