Al You are not alone. I loved Margaret Rutherford (in anything actually), Joan Hickson and even Helen Hayes. Each brought their own touch to the part, different to each other yet very much Marple.

Geraldine McKewan just doesn't fit. I gave up after the last series, so have to admit I haven't bothered this time. The trailers were enough for me.
JK2006 Geraldine McKewan is nowhere near as good as Joan Hickson or Margaret Rutherford.
The plots are destroyed.
The scripts and direction are irritating in the extreme.
The plethora of guest stars is irritatingly wrecked by the closing credits whirring past at 100mph. Was that Ken Russell? Damn, missed it!
Everything about it stinks of STYLE over SUBSTANCE.
And I miss Howard and Blakeley's brilliant theme and music.
Awful.
