That ghastly Doucette woman just said civilians are giving each other bananas and fizzy drinks - "an Arab tradition". In Ramadan? In daylight? It's all beyond me. |

In the Koran violence is permitted to fight oppression or for defending religious freedom. But you can not fight anyone who is not acting aggressively toward you.
" .......... If they leave you alone, refrain from fighting you, and offer you peace, then Allah gives you no excuse to fight them" 4:90
So when a Western country like the US invades a place like Iraq, the Koran does give them permission to fight back. So don't be surprised. |

Looking at Libya - whilst they can't eat or drink during Ramadan days, it is clearly OK to kill people during daylight hours.
