JK2006 Jon Snow gave an excellent speech and the wonderful Shami Chakrabati introduced him (and told me she can never live down my song about her).

I go every year - this was my seventh; always good to meet those striving genuinely to improve the lot of the oppressed.

Met Barry Mizen - one of my heroes; an example of true decency and non bitterness; every time I see him on TV I think "what a fine human being".
