Some of us predicted chaos long before the US and we Brits and other countries decided to join the rebels in killing innocent Libyans in order to establish a more pro-West government.
Quite apart from the moral disgrace of the use of our tax monies, it was politically stupid.
I was planning to visit Libya this summer; Arab friends in Tunisia and Morocco said "don't even think of it; it's far worse than it was under Gadaffi".
So, informed by intelligent advice, I didn't go there. |
