A Perverse Irony ?
Suggested by late-1990s last-gasp Tory Home Sec. Michael Howard’s feminist/ex-model wife Sandra, the 1997 ‘UK Sex Offender Register', enacted March ’97 enforced October ’97 (1st-ever peacetime ‘UK Register’) was populist/seX-Factor for right-wing media greed, ratings, profit and votes - masked as ‘Public Protection’.
A perverse irony from the devious manipulative Howard, Welsh-born son of a European Jewish father who fled from Fascist Nazi Oppression/‘Cruel & Unusual Punishment’ - to then ‘Free Democracy UK’.
Born Swansea, 1941, Howard’s dad was Bernard Hecht, a Romanian shopkeeper who fled Nazi Fascism to Free Democracy UK in 1939, and soon married Welsh-born Hilda Kershion. When Michael was 6, the family name was anglicized to ‘Howard’. Later, Cambridge Uni. grad. clever Michael was called to the Inner Temple Bar in 1964, and specialised in employment & planning law. By the 1960s perversely right-wing Chairman of a Tory think-tank, at the Oct ‘70 Tory conference he made a populist speech commending the then new Tory government for attempting to curb trade union power. And, typically-Dickensian beadle, he called for reductions or terminations in state aid to low/no-income strikers' families. A divisive, inhuman policy which in the 1980s the neo-Victorian Thatcher Tory government zealously pursued.
In the 1970s Howard was named co-respondent in the high profile divorce of 1960s-model Sandra Paul, they subsequently married in ‘75. Howard continued at the Bar, becoming a Q.C. in 1982, and in the May ‘83 General Election he won the safe Tory, Kent seat, Folkestone and Hythe. Now a pompously titled, “The Lord Howard Of Lympne”, the moral coward-Michael Howard is yet another of Hag Thatcher's Reich-Of-Terror who surely should be retired - in The Tower, not The Lords !
The introduction of a UK-SOR was rightly damned in March ‘97 by early out-gay Tory, morally half-straight Mathew Parris also a prolific author of some splendid sexual non-fiction, including, “Great Parliamentary Scandals: 4 Centuries of Calumny, Smear and Innuendoon UK Political Sex Scandals”, “The Great Unfrocked: Two Thousand Years of Church Scandal “, and with the appropriately named Peter Wildeblood, “Against the Law: The Classic Account of a Homosexual in 1950s Britain”.
Mathew Parris march ’97,paraphrased, “This highly discriminatory unjust ‘Sex Offender Register’ is yet another Tory last gasp for votes, it will do more harm than good by driving those inhumanly ‘Registered,’ underground and off the police radar. While very serious NON-Sex offenders are allowed to roam free all-unregistered.”
Now 15 years on, ever increasing numbers of mostly male, and some high achievers, (now including some CHILDREN) are made victims of inhuman UK Fascist SEX Registering/Tagging/Monitoring/Notification/Work/Web/Travel Bans. Also driven underground, and often down to despair, or even death.
Or increasingly gladly fleeing 21st Century right-wing, callous UK sadly shamed by leading agencies as, ‘Worst In The West For Child Wellbeing’. Fleeing to the rightly named ‘World Best For Child Wellbeing’ with NO Murdochized-media nor Totalitarian Tabloid, Tory-made Fascist Sex laws, to nearby mainland modern-EU, ‘Free Europe’. The pre-war fascist version of which, Michael Howard’s Jewish father fled ! A ‘Perverse Irony’ indeed.
The current retro seX-convicted world record ? U guessed it, backward-Blighty Bang Up/’CAGED’. 6 yrs in ’06 for no-evidence young peer-seX in the-way-we were 1942, ‘Will U Still Squeeze Me When We’re 64 Yrs On?’ Femme-Pensioners 3 v Lone Male-Pensioner 1 = No Contest.
While a VAST past & present NINETY TWO PERCENT NON/Sex Serious Child Abuses are all but CRIMINALLY US-UK/ignored. E.G. Wigan, May ’07, a 10 yr old boy drowned saving his lil sis while 2 so called ‘Community Cops’ P.C./Political-Cowards just waited for tech-support cos they were ‘not trained for life-saving’. And, among it’s 92% Non-sex child serious abuses criminally neglected, UK ‘Child Poverty’ claims 4-million/30% of UK children still in 19th Century 1-daily meal/no disposeable income households no doubt including many fair-minded former strikers. Bring on the next inhuman, callous Phoney-Anglophonia seX-Factor obsessed (nut)cases please.
Maybe UK bent-Cops/Media/1 Evil-Axis victim P. Gadd/G. Glitter could direct a new C.4.TV Docu-drama-tainment, “The Public Execution Of ??????????” ? = Ur Choice(s) ?

No reason to ignore one aspect in order to highlight another, Quint. Or do you feel that bulk injustice is worth more attention than individual cases? I suspect you're simply unable to consider two points at the same time. |

More than some of the 4th/Filth Estate owners, gate-dogs & bitches could surely be prosecuted, or put-down, under The Dangerous Dogs Act ?

We are starting to see the quite appalling morality of the police and the media - and how they bend the truth to get "a good story". I can assure visitors they are worse than ever. Both sides daily bend and break the rules. And know they do it.
I fear it may be 23 years before my innocence is proven and accepted. |
