Martha Ladly was joint lead vocalist in 'Martha and the Muffins' before joining the Associates for a period. She is now an academic!
giles2008 I too got into Billy Mac quite late after picking up some of the single releases from the "Wild And Lonely" album. Very good commercial pop which deserved so much better.

tdf This year marks the 20th anniversary of Billy MacKenzies's untimely death.

Never saw them in concert and only became aware of the Associates in relatively recent years (I was too young for TOTP in 1982), but it would be nice to remember Billy and his spirit-shocking music, talent, and that voice.
