JK2006 "You're sixteen; you're beautiful and you're mine" - oh no, not in this repressed day and age - serious prison sentence for Johnny Burnette after police prove you were male and a second under 16.
JK2006 And another real star from the era - P J Proby and his extraordinary version of Somewhere - one of the most brilliant interpretations of that wonderful song. And a doh - a - har - ling!
JK2006 And the vastly under rated Billy Fury - When Will You Say I Love You? Billy deserved the accolade He's So Fine if anybody did. In my opinion a better male singer than most comparable British artistes in the 60s. But what do I know?
JK2006 One of my favourite ever tracks - do check out my rendition illustrating the similarity to George Harrison's My Sweet Lord (which people keep putting up on You Tube) which was played in court and caused the Judge to grant the Chiffons the millions they deserved. George never spoke to me again.
