Chris Whiley isn't a music nerd - she's a simpering 'yes' woman who in the 1990's applauded at the all the credible 'new music' and scoffed at the old stuff, and 20 years later is applauding all the older 'heritage acts' she once sneered at (which, granted, was probably a contractual thing on Bannister's R1 at the time) but also the auto-tuned generic pap they call 'pop' she was would claimed to have been horrified by in the 90s.

Her many "interviews" with inspiration-free young snowflake musicians have to be heard to be believed.

I do not want 'Simpering at Six' when I'm driving home after a hard days work.
Ted I'm afraid I can't listen to Jo Whiley. Blokes who were music nerds were bad enough without women following suit. She seems vastly more professional than the likes of Sara Cox, but just a bit, well, dull.
Andy I must admit I won't miss Frank Renton or Nigel Ogden, but it is a shame to see the wonderful Paul Jones get the push. Maybe he can get Cerys Matthew's slot on 6 music since she is replacing him.
