JK2006 Yes much though I love Hugh who, apart from now running the UK Eurovision contest is a good friend, his skills are making the most of the artistes he has (Billie; Martine; Blue) more than finding obscure hits (Ooh Aah Just A Little Bit; Who Let the Dogs Out; I Get Knocked Down...). I tend to be better suited to Eurovision; where an instant hit is more important than a lasting artiste. Having said that, our publishing empire did very nicely picking up an obscure Swedish artiste years ago with a song called Waterloo.

by her own admission she is not a great live singer but some previous winners were not that great either on the other hand she does have charisma and a large worldwide fan base which could swing it,
it would have have made interesting viewing even more interesting and if she did have a go perhaps that would encourage other current uk established stars to have a go rather than old 60 year old plus has beens, i won't mention any names,
remember Blue had a go and they should have been top 10 or even top 5 but were "stopped" by the jury vote plus their presentation and performance could have been better on the night

Interesting that my UK entry which would have been Kylie's Dancing has been a relative commercial flop; anyone agree with me it would have won Eurovision for the UK or am I out of touch with the modern public?

I am not sure that it would have won Eurovision because it creeps up on you rather than be instantly catchy, which a winner needs to be.
