JK2006 As we leave this topic for another year; interesting to see over 20,000 visits to it!
NCS Because Eurovision reflects a different and discernible real truth. Also a common bond exists within this topic.

I’m still seething about the UK song entry. Will next year bring yet another nonentity?
JK2006 As opposed to Meghan or Tessa on the other board (loads of views - no posts) this thread has inspired 40 posts so far!
PaulB I remember my mother telling me, way back, that the 'jury' did not see the singers because they had to judge the song, not the singer/s. Not sure how true that was.
So different now, where a song can be eclipsed by stage performers.
NCS Definitely enjoyable but the UK is and has been an embarrassment for some time. They just don’t learn. Next thing we’ll be hearing ad nauseum (but nothing to do with music or songwriting) will be that England won the World Cup in 1966.
