JK2006 Oh yes - they were also terrific session singers and I seem to remember them being on several of my sessions - one is Doreen, I think.
PaulB In the 70s I added their name to my school bag after I bought their single 'Sideshow'. I seemed to be the only kid in my school who knew about them, despite their couple of appearances on TOTP. I still have my old vinyl copy of it.
Sadly, their music is unavailable now, outside of second hand shops but, thanks to Youtube, I have been able to hear some of their older stuff.

This one is from the 60s, when they went by The Chanters.
I don't recall hearing it on the radio, so it's new to me.
I love it, so thought I'd share it here.

Anyone else remember them?
