KC There will always be those who believe that Sion Jenkins is guilty regardless of circumstances or evidence (or lack of). We can only hope that, if those people are on trial themselves, they are treated with a greater level fairness than they treat others.

In my opinion, if Sion Jenkins had broken her skull and walked through his house, there would have been more blood in the house and on his clothes than was found. An independant phorensic expert explained how the blood specks could have come onto Jenkins' clothing.

Why would he ram something up her nose? It's interesting that a man seen in the area had a history of doing that very thing to his victims.

As for Jenkins giving a straight denial. I think a "not guilty" plea is exactly that
Foz I am neither convinced of his innocence nor of his guilt unfortunately. The judge formally aquitted him, but the jury had not made the verdict on his fate.
I have a feeling this story will be revised upon in years to come.

I cannot recall the name of the guy, but years ago, the crown coroner, Keith Simpson found evidence which implicated a man in a murder that he had been found not guilty years previously. The man had a terminal illness and admitted that he did actually commit the crime soon before he died.

In a nutshell, I feel just as cynical about the supposed 'not guilty' verdict. So much time has passed I doubt they will find the murderer - possible witnesses may have even forgotten seeing a person in the Kent area running from the crimescene covered in blood?!
telegram sam @ Unpeeled Consider this;

Motive, Billy Jo is repeatedly described as 'fiesty' which is only newspaper speak for typical teenage shit.
Jenkins regulary beat his wife and children.

Means, the iron bar.

Opportunity, the 'window' available to Jenkins at plus three minutes is more than enough time to crack a skull and walk through the ground floor of his house.

Query, why have I never heard Jenkins issue a straight denial? Even yesterday he was mealy-mouthed, talking about Police incompetence rather than a more natural 'told you I didn't do it'.

View, guilty.
Al I did hear about the other man who was believed to be in the area at the time, but it seems that the police ignored him in their determination to convict Sion Jenkins.

The other questions are ones which I have also asked over the years. There does seem to have been a very blinkered "investigation" with only one objective. But this does seem to be the norm for British policing.
JK2006 If her real family care about her so much, where were they when she was 7?
Is it true that a man with several convictions for assault involving pushing plastic up women's noses was three minutes away from Billy Jo who was found with plastic stuffed up her nose?
How could a man beat someone to death with an iron bar and only get a miniscule spray of blood on him?
If he DID and changed into fresh clothes, how come there WAS a tiny spray on his NEW clothes and could he do all that in 3 minutes?
