I enjoyed it back in the day, after top of the pops on a thursday, but it was very much of its time, and doesn't have a lot of relevance now, much like old episodes of Not the Nine O'click news. Regardless of sex offence convictions I don't think there would be much of a market for this sort of show. Even back in the day, I don't think it was ever repeated, its a topical show and doesn't really work when repeated years later.
I revisited Seinfeld during lockdown haven't seen it for years again I gave up midway season 1. The topics are dated and I forgot most of them, I had to think hard then I remembered the event or person; it was more of a history lesson depsite living and working in New York.
That's ridiculous. You gave up before the show really found itself - one of the greatest sitcoms there's ever been. Try starting at season three.
Too late, as I have shipped the DVD's to Canada. I just found it dated, despite watching it weekly in America from day one and loved every epiosde. I wish A Minute With Stan Hooper had time to mature but was axed just after a few weeks.

I seen segments of Not Nine O'clock News it was amusing but during the tenure of it again I was not in the UK, so I can't comment too much on it. I cringed when I first saw Young Ones in the early 1990's on VHS. |
