JK2006	Hugely expand the RIP section. Israelites! What a smash!
JK2006	I'd have short features on the costs of Streaming. On the art of Songwriting. On TV and radio this century.
JK2006	I was brought in to save The Brits after the fiasco of the Sam Fox/Mick Fleetwood year, having written and hosted it two years earlier. It strikes me this year the show is in a very similar state of disaster. But not due to COVID. Due to bad music executives catering to specialist tastes instead of to mass appeal hits. This year - please make it 80% back catalogue and 20% current artistes - all mass appeal (like Ed Sheeran) not specialist. That way it will be entertaining, not boring. Clips from old movies. Clips from previous shows (I give you my permission to use Maggie Thatcher singing How Much Is That Doggy In The Window). Indeed I even give you permission to use MY last Mass Appeal hit (Who Let The Dogs Out?) - only a minute or so of each; long enough to become an ear worm but not too long to be irritating. Noel Coward singing Don't Let's Be Beastly To The Germans (with lyrics on screen). Our musical response to racism. Yes: Adele (Skyfall). Yes: One Direction (contrasting with old footage). Humour. Fun. Variety. A touch of Ivor Novello gathering lilacs next to AC/DC. Iron Maiden then Vera Lynn. Your BPI members will HATE it (they were always wankers). Love to all who know me. JK
