Rick	TV people keep blocking out the reality that awards shows are basically very, very, boring unless you REALLY care about the people involved.The problem with the BRITS now is that far fewer people in the broad viewing audience care about the music (as an experiment - if you're not in the music biz yourself - ask people you meet today if they follow the charts. Personally I doubt I'd find one who does), and so you're left with a couple of hours of many viewers saying 'Who's THAT?' about once every couple of minutes. So unless you just reschedule it for a very specific demographic viewing group, you're heavily reliant on accidents and controvrsies to make it watchable. Maybe ITV should merge it with I'm a Celebrity, and make the nominees eat grubs and crawl through rat-infested tunnels to win the gongs.
