Can't be right all the time, even the some Genesis books have misinformation which JK pointed out about 2 years ago.

Green Man, You don't have bootlegs from any Elton John show where he alternated songs from Captain Fantastic with other well known songs because after the Wembley show Elton went back into the studio and recorded another set of new songs and it was that album he toured later in the year. Maybe you are getting confused with some other album he did

Maybe but whose counting ? Most bootlegs are dodgy at best apart from the odd few. The Knickerbockers with their song Lies is on numerous early Beatles bootlegs. My friend Jim Boy has about 12,000 bootlegs in his collection and about 800 or so are Beatles and a lot are iffy but cool to listen to when I am at his. Most Beatles stuff that was bootlegged is out offically.

Do/did you ever go to Beatlesfest which now called Fest Of The Beatles ? There was lots of traders trading bootlegs some good and some truly awful. That's where I got my copy of Badfinger live in Canada LP, the sound is kind of crap but to me it is historic. I had some nice offers for it but I am not departing with is, the recording is on Youtube.

Most of my bootlegs are from my travels to Latvia, Japan, Slovenia, South Africa and Serbia not all recordings are from the soundboard.

I hope the bootlegs of Genesis and Genesis releated gets an offical release, I have seen their live bootlegs CD's go for a lot of money same with KISS stuff especially show from the early 90's.

Yawn ! I have bootlegs from the Captain Fantastic album tour same with numerous Rolling Stones from the last 11 years or so.

Captain Fantastic was released in May 1975 and was debuted by Elton at his Wembley Stadium concert in June of that year. During that concert he didn't alternate new and established songs as you suggest but rather performed a block of new songs from the album and was widely criticised for doing so. There never was a Captain Fantastic tour by Elton in1975 as he sacked his drummer Nigel Olsson and bassist Dee Murray after the release of Captain Fantastic and then went into the studio to record "Rock of the Westies" which was released in October 1975.

You say The Stones still make new music and tour to support the release of those albums. That is a bit of a stretch as their last album of new songs was released over 16 years ago and only a couple of tracks were ever included in any of their subsequent set lists.

You may want to yawn but if you are going to make incorrect statements don't be surprised if someone wants to correct you.[/quote]

I don't have the Wembley Stadium concert on home media. I have bootlegs from various other shows and countries where the songs are alternated to promote Captain Fantasitc. Yes it's 16 years for the Stones since they released 'newer stuff' but it's their 'newer stuff'.
