Sorry, but whether you like it or not is another matter. McCartney had one of the best and most versatile voices in popular music.

Hence saying "IMHO."

I don't agree with you but if you like his voice then fair play to you.

Green Man Credit where it is due at 80 still preforming. My opinion is irrelevant on his voice (I never liked it IMHO even in Wings). But at 80 years old still doing what he likes doing is great.

I think Sinatra was in his mid or early 70s when he did his last performance on stage and died aged 82.

Macca has appealed to new generation of fans. Recently my partner was sent videos by my friend Jim-Boy and his brothers at Macca gig in New Jersey at Metlife Stadium. (I don't own a smartphone). The audience was full of various age groups even elementary.

I wouldn't be surprised if Macca did another 2 more tours. If he didn't want to sing he could find other singers or join Ringo's All Starr Band as a farewell.

My parents saw Wings in the 1970s as it was closest they could get to the Beatles. Same reason why people see Mike Love and Bruce Johnston Beach Boys when they tour. I saw them a few years ago but I did the orginal band in the 1970s when I was just small kid.

Again Mike Love is now 81 and still enjoys what he is doing.

Brian Wilson is 80 still tours occasionally and he released an album last year.

Is 80 the new 40 ?
