TOPIC: Benefits, food banks and Government
#111594
Benefits, food banks and Government 11 Years, 5 Months ago
I've not contributed to this discussion - basically an argument between ITK and Andrew. I've never needed a benefit. But I thought the new Catholic Cardinal made a lot of sense as do all the other faiths in today's Mirror. They are on the ground, seeing the explosion in the use of food banks. Government (totally useless, as usual, be they right, left or middle) has seriously fucked up. I haven't seen any politician capable of running a country since Boadicca.

Unless it was one of the very few unknown acts at Decca?

I help distribute the food banks at a local C of E church.Vast majority are foreign gypsies...as are the Big issue sellers.
Seems Nigel Farge may just be as cued up as Prasutagus' other half

Has we know sanctions are still popular with the Job Centre. If I got sanctioned and filled in the appeal form and hardship form and had to wait 2 weeks for a decision to be made. Could I steal a loaf a bread to feed a starving couple and dog food for the my dog and get away with it ?

I have changed my mind about Dee. In Big Brother she appears to be quite nasty.

You haven't been sanctioned again have you?

The problem with food banks is that since the Trussel trust took over most of them (for a hefty fee) they have daft rules that you can only use them three times in a year, so the people who are waiting two months for a claim to come through get fed three times and starve the rest, while (some) people who are doing ok turn up to claim the three goes of food that they are "entitled" to.
The more rules and regulations.... the less common sense and kindness.

Never watched it but heard she picked on Gary Busey: sadly not many people know about his motorbike accident in the 80's and the infamous cocaine addiction.

I have not been sanctioned but they penalising people for petty things like not put NI number on form or writing the name clearly. If I were to nick a loaf of bread, packet of ham and dog food to steal a starving family would it be just in court ? As the DWP is now truly fucked sideways.

Tories have created this mess and are in denial about it, even IDS refuses to speak about it or talk to the public. People shouldn't have to use foods bank in modern Britain but the Toffs are Clueless CUNTS.

We have food banks but what about if your gas/electric meters need topping up ?

Agree JK governments have no heart. I have always seen the solution as very simple. After a short period out of work and still looking say six months then the job centre gets the person a job either real or pretend. As long as it work for 20 to 30 maybe 40 hours a week plus paid time to study if that will help. At minimum wage must say 35 to 40 hours paid. Then all those heartless people out there can stop moaning because most people will work because own experience is work pays more that JSA and minimum wage is not too bad outside of London. So London minimum up a bit. Cost well it is only money.Never ever forget the BofE created billons to prop up the bond market. Money supply and control is only facing problems and finding ways to do it. Hitler nasty piece of works but still a great achiever when faced with the same question told his money people get on and find it. Well how they did it was quite nasty as well. My point is there are ways many ways. So next week they canhave every one working get the local areas all tidyed up whatever. Problem solved. Has been done before as well.

People are looking for a job ITK, like you never fucked up with spelling on this site ITK. On the forms it does not state fill in your NI number, it's a spiteful way to catch people out.

I remember when the Job Centre sat down with you and did forms and found job interviews for you to go on.

Pop in your local Job Centre and see how they operate ITK.

Labour had the best policy with the three strike action.

1. Missing a appoinntment is one strike
2. Late is one strike
3. Misconduct on a course is 3 strikes
4. Not turning up to job interviews is 3 strikes
5. Not filling enough to look for work is 1 strike

Now people get sanctioned for crossing out on the forms.

If you look at how poor the education is for many working class British kids, because the schools there are full of foreigners then it would make more sense!

Many advanced countries limit benefits to a certain time period...our welfare system is not only causing these problems, but being milked by foreigners who get exactly the same deal.
Answer is simply only allow in the immigrants we actually need, and put a stop to 'dodgy' employment contracts like 'zero hours'....you cannot plan your life, and those of those around you if you have no idea about how much money is coming in next week!

Spot on again many schools are now employing foreign teachers and converting school playgrounds to meet demands. My nephew goes to a school where he is the white English lad in the class, rest of the students are Polish, Slovak and Romanian.
