Balderdash.

Apprentices maybe filled for the under 25's £80 a week cheap labour for employers, over 25's are being referred to work programmes and wonder how many people are still sanctioned ? Job centres are still packed so are Avanta offices.

Why the fuck do we need a Garden City in Kent, when there are thousands of empty of homes that need renovating ?

Fuck off out of Kent George.

More Europeans are on cheap wage/cash in hand.

Still what about people on work programme being referred to everyday or people who been sanctioned for 3 years ?

Wonder how many of them are in FULL TIME jobs ?

I'm confused. What do sanctions have to do with there being more jobs?

Those who been sanctioned don't count as claimants even though they getting hardship. People on work programmes are marked as in work.

ITK your being absurd in believing these figures when they are easy to manipulate.

What do mean people not trying hard enough when there is little work going in places ?

Oh i see, thank you.
so if we are looking with a cynical eye, sanctioning saves them a heap of money and covers up unemployment?

Sanctioning is easy for the DWP to meet targets, when you are you go on hardship for 3 years, which is about hyalf than normal JSA. Labour just threw everyone on a work course to swindle the figures. Job centres used to admit it to everyone, Toies are doing the same.

Who is the real cynic here ?

Those who have been sanctioned (ie NOT attending interviews / NOT doing enough to find work / NOT applying for enough jobs etc) - are they really "job seekers" ?? ... or just doing the very basics to claim the hand outs?

Those on work programmes are unfit for work - hence the training programme ! - so they are not available for jobs either, are they?

ITK sweeping people with the same brush again. People on work programme are people who been unemployed for 6 months, a lot of people on there are in their 50,s and their age puts employers off, there are skilled KCC workers who been redundant are on the course, people who been made redundant no fault of their own, there is not much manafacturing around here ITK.

Someone got sanctioned for 6 months not putting dates on his form, DWP fuck up they don't get sacked or nothing.

ITK is ignorant.

Osborne's budget speech -

Today again we are reminded that the most important consequence of our plan is more people in work - with each job meaning a family more secure.

The pace of net job creation under this government has been three times faster than in any other recovery on record.

1.3 million more people in work.

The latest figures today show a staggering 24% fall in the claimant count in just one year, and the fastest fall in the youth claimant count since 1997.

The OBR today forecast one and a half million more jobs over the next five years.

Unemployment down from the 8% we inherited to just over 5%.

And the OBR predict earnings to grow faster than inflation this year and in every year of the forecast. That’s why the country can afford a real terms increase in the National Minimum Wage.

Mr Deputy Speaker, this is a government whose plan is delivering jobs.

We now have:

a record number in work

a record number of women in work

and for the first time in 35 years, a higher employment rate than the United States of America

That’s what we mean when we say we’re getting Britain working.

How many of them are in FULL Time work, what age are the majority in work, minority out of work, what regions are the most in work ? It's easy to tackle youth unemployment due to apprenticeships but the cut off point is 24.

Vince Cable talks rubbish, Mcvey and IDS are talking about being tougher on dolers ,bringing a CV when you first sign on which was a Labour rule from about 8 years ago, forcing people to use a bogus government job website should be outlawed.

Mcvey said people should work in Costa the new branch down, only hired from employees from other branches, so it has not created new jobs.

Esther McVey and Ian Duncan Smith are doing their best to lose the election.
Instead of defending the benefit administration shambles they should be sorting it out.

Ester said people should work in Costa. There are only so many jobs in Costa when they do recruit, IDS is a buffon and wasted billions not millions on failed a website.

How do you work that out, honey! ?
The pressure on dolers to do something is (pardon the pun) universally popular !

Instead of defending the benefit administration shambles they should be sorting it out.

Sort what out?

We ONLY have the word of the claimants that anything needs sorting out LOL (and they spend their entire lives doing all they can to avoid work - so "forgetting" to apply for jobs, or "forgetting" to attend interviews is par for the course !)
