Us Liverpool fans have had to put up with a hell of a lot from him, and his gratitude is shown in yet again trying to get a move to Spain. I rather hope, great player though he is, he gets the book thrown at him this time.

Suarez fan! 11 Years ago
Never heard of Ed.

But this is the third time this professional/international footballer - who plays for Liverpool FC - has bitten another player.

Here and elsewhere.

For the same assault, he has been banned before!

But to repeat it in a WC finals is the sign of madness.

Hundreds of millions were watching.....

This bloke will be told to leave, perhaps just to show that FIFA are tough.

A great player, not a genius - just one who thinks he is...

I agree there Pru, he is a spectacular player but his behaviour is just appalling, fuck knows how Jermain Defoe got away biting Maraschino they both make Bellamy look sane.

I can't understand why everyone is getting so excited by this ..... what did you expect ?

When you take someone from the jungle and idolise him merely because he can kick a ball - its one up from throwing a spear (just!), I suppose - this is what will happen.

Its a game that appeals to the lowest common denominator - encourages tribalistic / hooligan behaviour (painted faces / all wearing same "uniform" etc) and reduces everyone to a "team / tribe" rather than being an individual.

My team "good" / Your team "bad" - no wonder football fans can understand it LOL !

You know what they say .....

You can take the man out of the jungle but you ......

Why differentiate ?

They all seem to think its amazing to be able to kick a ball (presumably totally ignorant of other achievements like putting a man on the moon !)

Also many non leagues have 9-5 jobs during the week, so playing football on Saturday's is fun for them, many of them only get paid £50 per game, I always found non sports fans boring and miserable old bastards anyway.

England Fan Bites Supporter's Ear Off In Brazil

A manhunt is under way after an England fan was brutally attacked by a fellow supporter after the Uruguay match.

Spot on Andrew - when I attended a World Cup match (Tunisia vs England in the 90s in Marseilles) I witnessed how 99.9% of football fans behave fine and it's MEDIA that constructs violent pictures to back up fake stories... I actually watched a British TV crew set up a mock fight between kids and film it; it was nothing to do with the truth.

About 2m people attend first class football matches in the UK, every week. More than any other sport, religion or entertainment.

Inevitably, there will be some trouble and incidents - just like there is in the rest of our society. But matters have greatly improved.

Because of the findings of the Taylor Report (all seater stadiums), mandatory policing (at the clubs' expence) and better stewarding.
