I would rather see a petition calling for MPs to introduce a Statute of Limitations for sexual crimes.
I think we can safely guess that an all full lot of people were 'at it' during the 60s, 70s and 80s, but nothing can be proved without a reasonable doubt now, and anyway, who cares.
My first lover was in a Home in Northern Ireland during the 70s, and related many stories of being picked up by older men, taken to parties, homes, given presents and bought clothes. He mentioned some politicians that even I had heard of. He wasn't complaining, didn't feel abused but looked upon that time with a certain fondness.
It happened, it perhaps doesn't today, but what right do we have to bring up all these allegations today when attitudes and opinions are completely different.
