one must always question anything in the Daily Snail and this headline is one :

Employers hit with prosecution for not paying basic wage every million years

...but..a result having politicians governing in fear of media and no concept of the future.

makes the old USSR 5 Year Plans seem sensible let alone the Chinese who plan for results that will eventuate several generations later

... and keeps the Pound shops staffed - they always complain about these but are first in the queue when they open each day !

Low prices = low quality staff

High(er) prices = better quality staff

You cannot have it any other way !

I don't really care what the staff do as long as they don't lick the bag to open it, but the pound shops I use seem to have better staff than most.

USA..
Walmart pays such minimal wages the employees get food stamps. Everything made in China and now threatening to move "HQ" off shore..

or....

Costco..about tenth the size pays above average wages and has a share plan...profits boom and rising each year.

Hope you went past the Margate Jobcentre today Pat, the amount of foreigners signing on is a joke, just proves the UK is a benefit haven. Iain has proven he is not up the job, work programme has failed.

I've heard of Walmart - never heard of Costco .... we'll see how long they last shall we (because the ones who want the lowest prices will also want the highest wages).

It simply won't work !
