The Netherlands have massive egos. To hell with them.(Apart from Dirk Kuyt, who is a great guy and a boon to any side.) Germany all the way - brilliantly coached, dynamic and intelligent. What a relief to see Brazil, the most over-hyped team of all time, bombed out. They've been a bore to watch since the wonderful 1982 team. Now maybe all of that 'samba football' nonsense fade away.

What was even odder was that nearly all the other games (and I'll bet tonight's) ended a draw and penalty shoot outs. Why? Because most teams, by this phase, are pretty equal. Enter code here Please note: although no board code and smiley buttons are shown, they are still usable.

And because they tend to cancel each other out - due to a fear of losing. There's so much at stake.

Brazil/Germany (1-7) was extraordinary. Brazil are going through a lean period, in terms of real talent - and the Germans punched well above their weight.

Tonight two of the best meet (Robben and Messi) in Hollany v Argentina. As you say JK, probably penalties.
