TOPIC: The Fry puzzle

The Fry puzzle 11 Years ago
Why is it that people seem absolutely incapable of believing that some people make claims they believe to be true but that, for various reasons, their memories are faulty? That media is often there to convince people of the truth of fictions? That police and CPS HAVE to exaggerate and inflate to get convictions - just like the media. "Well he (or she) might have done something similar to this" is a lousy story.

A huge amount of people simply cannot even look at this possibility.

Ignoring the fact that many convictions can be unfair and wrong (can't they believe this? There are enough pieces of evidence), they seize on the "very few convictions for perjury or making false allegations" argument without wondering why so few cases reach the courts.

For me it's a definition of madness. But you cannot convince mad people they are mad.

there is madness in the air.

'survivor groups' are hailing the self removal of Baroness Butler-Sloss with various media lining up to say these groups should have a say, if not dictate how these Inquiries are run.

It doesn't seem to occur to anyone that why in the hell should 'survivors' have any more say than you or me? What in the hell has it to do with them?
In a sense that we , everyone is just as important, or not, as they are.
A bunch of people are demanding special status above everyone else and a chorus line in the media are supporting them.

It's very weird- if they are victims of those who are to be investigated then this is like allowing victims to choose the police or judges.

But it hasn't been established yet if crimes took place.

all critical thinking seems to fly out the window and media mendacity is pumped out.
## I've also noticed in the past week or so that a number of leading journalists- Peter Jukes included who did a great job on th e hacking trials- have been stating the mantra : " there are no witch hunts because witches are imaginary"
It's not what they are saying (which is rubbish) it's the fact that 4 well connected hacks have said exactly the same words.

It's as though the David Ickes of the world has finally spilled over into mainstream media.

Politicians only have themselves to blame. They have allowed this madness to fester and spread.

I think you should reply to all those dear brainwashed souls - each with parrot DNA - "they did then. They thought witches existed then. Perhaps some paedophiles are now imaginary".

Mr Starmer was quoted by the Mail as saying Fry “went off on one”, and said there were already laws in place to deter “faked accusations” of sexual abuse.

But they're clearly not working, doh!
