Do you mean Rochdale, honey! ??

PS ... this is well worth reading -

Time inevitably blurs and blots the events of a quarter-century and more ago: not only who did what but who said what to whom, who knew and who did not, with every chain of knowledge and accountability eroded not by deception or conspiracy but by the rust of years.

----

The folk whom that bracingly sceptical thinker Frank Furedi calls “moral entrepreneurs” have cashed in on abuse again, and will do so for numbing years to come.

I cant think of a polite way to say it, so I will be be blunt and hope nobody is offended. There are lots of nice places in ST Helens and some lovely people but there are pockets of total hell where they all have constant affairs, batter each other, and breed with the neighbours.
My theory is that when the enormous mental hospital on the outskirts closed down the residents were all re-housed onto the same estates.

The peculiar thing about these cases is that nobody thinks "oh hang on, we were wrong about Cleveland and Rochdale" let's make sure it doesn't happen again"
