TOPIC: That fake Savile letter...

That fake Savile letter... 10 Years, 12 Months ago
I thought this enormous double page spread in the Mail warranted far more attention than it got (because, of course, it damaged a "good story") but it won't go away; neither will Anna Raccoon's incisive and forensic examination of the NHS reports into Savile's "activities".

How long, I wonder, before the Mail - remember, not only the nastiest but the best paper in Britain, and a great story trumps everything - decides to expose the entire Savile fiasco for what it was?

Is that Fiona letter re reason that police supposedly gave for not following up on the Duncroft allegations. That contributed rightly that newsnight glory seekers did not get the go ahead for their ill conceived programme? Still no access to Dailymail and can not seem to locate info from any other recent source!

Fiona, who's father had more influence in the BBC than 'that middle-aged albino clunk-click ponce' could have dreamed of. He'd have had Jimmy Savile blacklisted & blackballed (just as Bill Cotton Jr stood for no nonsense, but of course, is now helpfully as dead as the rest of the cast)

With an out-of-date Surrey police crest and a named sender.

Yes - and it appears that all of the Duncroft based claims have been rejected by the current investigating police team. Media generally avoids noticing such things that might kill a good story. God knows how this spread sneaked through.
