Labour plan new "Death Tax" !!!! 10 Years, 11 Months ago
The tax and spend brigade have sunk to a new low .....

Robbing the dead !

news.sky.com/story/1309847/secret-tape-r...ngs-reveal-tax-plans

They plan to tax estates after death to "raise money for social care".

This is a direct attack on those who have behaved properly during life - by saving and planning for the future, and leaving some assets for their children.

I can see why some people think they might as well have fifteen children, two houses and a pony all for free!

'A Labour spokesperson said: "This is not Labour policy. We have made clear we want to improve social care and we are consulting on how that is best done.'

All parties do research into varying ideas,it's nothing more than seeing how various schemes will work out if put into practice.....I believe the Looney Libs did one some years ago about joining The Euro....

Indeed, honey! ...piss it all (our money, that is !) against a wall and let someone else pay.

The problem is ... what happens when there is no one else left ?

We have inheritance tax pretty much the same thing, it was something that was supposed to be scrapped by the Tories, it still remains more, just bullshit from the blues.

Actually Andrew inheritance tax hits the middle classes hardest.
It's also responsible in part for ruining British Industry. You cannot pass it on,so sell it,and leave it as a public company, not in private hands.Privately owned companies think longer term, not quick bucks like PLCs.

this policy happens in Australia but is far tougher- those in nursing homes put up their houses against costs - and was introduced by a conservative government.

The ceiling hasn't fallen in yet as those who wish to inherit their parents dosh can always choose to care for them themselves.

Or does ITK prefer a good dose of socialism where the state provides free care for the elderly?

complicated innit?

Who needs new death taxes when 'Dishonest Dave' has refused to act on his promise to raise the threshold?
