In The Know

... has pleaded guilty to 29 charges, but will still face trial over a further 12.

He is 73 years old .... I do wonder what "extra" punishment can be made if he were found guilty of the extra 12 charges.

Is this really necessary ?

I wonder if they'll tell the idiot masses he was "hiding in plain sight" (by getting done for the same kind of thing regularly for the past 40 years) or "shielded by the BBC" (who sacked him circa 1969 for being a bit too vocal about his sexual predilections)?

If this chap is found guilty of 40+ sex crimes - yes he should pay the penalty.

He seems to be 'on his uppers' - he was arrested whilst staying in a Homeless Hostel in East London. I suspect prison may appeal to him in his pecuniary old age, three meals a day, comfortable warm accommodation, medical facilities on hand all at the taxpayers expense.
A lengthy and unnecessary trial will add to those costs

I doubt Mr Dening will see the green green grass of home again.
He has pled guilty to 29 charges and the others may be freeloading for a cash payout, Chris is potless I would think. To of pled guilty to the rest would of made life easier but if your not guilty why plead just to satisfy and make a aentence shorter ? although plenty have.
I guess he will be getting his old hotel room back and a job in the library.
one thing that beggers belief is why did these accusers not come forward on the numorous times Mr Dening has been up on these charges before?
