was having dinner at a Kings Cross restaurant Sugarmill in 2011 (I had a tip-off)..Robin Williams came in with Elijah Wood. They had been nearby recording voice-overs for Happy Feet 2.

Robin gave an impromptu performance for 40 minutes- I'm sure he would have gone for hours unless stopped. Surely one of the funniest comedians alive with a machine gun delivery once he started.

His press conferences were always packed for the same reason.

very sad

Very good Chris. Increasingly I seem to know people who suffer from depression. Stephen Fry laughs that I seem to suffer from Monopolar - I find it virtually impossible to get depressed. I consider it would be depressing and thus not worth allowing.

I met Robin a few times and he was always so lovely, kind, thoughtful and funny. There was nothing starry about him, apart from his talent. A wonderful performer but even more importantly a wonderful person.
