Mackerel - in the news again 10 Years, 11 Months ago
I have to be delighted that the ban by Russia on importing British mackerel has revived interest in my FAVOURITE fish - and it's cheap.
They must be fresh and should be LINE CAUGHT as opposed to netted. Popped under the grill (2 mins each side) with a knob of butter and a squeeze of lemon (and I like a couple of sprigs of fresh coriander) - it is easy and delicious. Everyone I've ever given this to (including my Mum) has raved about it.
